Principle :   Principles and Varieties of Resistors  
Area of Study :  Electricity & Magnetism   
Equipment :   Voltmeter, tapered resistors (the tapered resistors we use are from old Duracell batteries).

 

Procedure :   Lay the tapered resistor on the table with the resistor side up.  Measure at different points of the resistor to show an increasing resistance with a widening of the resistance strip.
