Principle :   Lens Distortion and Correction 
Area of Study :  Optics  
Equipment :   Optics Table, Slide Projector (Distant Light), Astigmatism Plate (Cork Mounted in optics table), Cylindrical Lens (5th floor Optics Lab).
  
Procedure :   Place the astigmatism plate on the optics rail and focus it onto some writing or identifiable object. The cylindrical lens can now be used to correct the astigmatism so that the object can be seen clearly.
